Andrew and Friends

On one of the worst summer days possible the Wicklow 200km cycle run was held over a mountainous course where the wind was so high that Andrew told me that it was the first time that he has ever had to actually pedal on the downward side of the biggest hills, such was the headwind. No chance for freewheeling!!

These shots were taken in Avoca Village with about 150kms gone and another 50 to go. Andrew, in the blue suit in the top left shot is an ace photographer, a medium format film user as well as digital and an all round great guy and super friend.

If you look closely at the two shots on the left you will get an idea of the rain they had to fight against. I was vert thankful for my Goretex suit which kept me dry and snug but all the competitors were soaked wet.
