Santa Cruz River

A typical river scene in the Tucson area for most of the year. Yes, you are looking at a dry river bed. This shot was taken near the Sweetwater Water Reclamation Area.

Today's expedition was to search for the Sweetwater Wetlands. We have them located and saw some trails but it was 1:00 pm on a 97 degree day with blazing sun and it was decided to come back early some morning for the light and the birds. Ultimately we did find the Wetland which has nice paved trails around the Riparian Area. I heard lots of birds and frogs, so the place should provide some nice photo ops.
