Local Hero
Had a go at a film blip I got the idea while travelling up to Newcastle for a meeting.
One of my all time fav flix's is Bill Forsyth's Local hero about an oil man negotiating the price to buy a Scottish village to turn it into an oil terminal. He starts by caring less for the village and wants a quick deal and by the end of the movie has fallen in love with the place with much humour on the way. The last scene is him pinning up his pictures back at his city flat then he calls the phone box at the Scottish village with Mark Knoffler's wailing guitar thumping up the theme tune 'Going Home'.
I've backblipped my holidays snaps. Wish I was back there. Cue the music.
