Wigan Market

I went to Wigan today to buy the shoes I saw last week but decided not to buy then! I did buy them today. Then I bought some solar butterfly lights which, if they look nice tonight, might actually feature in a future blip. To get to the market, you can get walk through a centre called the "Galleries". I don't shop much (although reading my blips it is like all I ever do is shop!) and I don't often go to the centre of Wigan. I have to say that the place is dying. The Galleries must be 70% empty. It's sad.

On a positive note, it has been a lovely, sunny day today.

I went to the doctors and now gall stones saga continues....the next stop is surgery so I have to wait for a letter from the hospital saying where and when.

I have just watched a BBC documentary about Tunisian immigrants on a small Italian island. The locals were trying to prevent a ship from unloading a cargo of tents and toilets for the Tunisians. The mayor was told that he had to let the cargo onto the island and he had to convey this information to the islands residents...who were booing and shouting as he did. He told the residents to behave and stated that "they (Tunisians) need to shit, otherwise they'll be shitting in the streets!" I love the Italians!
