No Way!

Seen on the beach today, a man seemingly attempting to lead a horse to water but the horse wasn't having any of it. The performance began with said man holding a long rein and walking the horse about in circles. I'm sure this is a specific training technique but I have no idea what it's called. The guy then mounted the horse and tried to introduce him to the advancing tide. As you can see the horse was none too sure of what was going on and retreated every time a wave threatened to wet his hooves. He never did step into the surf and eventually was taken for a canter along the beach.

I might add that the horse also decided that the sand where children dig and play would be a nice place to poop. No attempt was made to clean up after him. A thoroughly disgusting practice by the owner and rivalled only by dog owners who likewise allow their animals to soil everybody else's playground with potentially dangerous excrement. How I would love to be a policeman at times!!
