Stinking Iris

Or Iris foetidissima - both rather unfortunate names for what is a rather attractive , if unassuming, flowering plant. (It's the leaves which stink, when they are broken). I planted some in my garden a few years ago and now it seems to be spreading the hdgerows and verges nearby, presumably through the agency of birds.

Work all day today, frustrated that I couldn't finish a particular piece of work off before the end of the day.

Feeling really down with ongoing ear pain. I keep putting off going to the doctors -but I must do.

Iris photo taken at lunchtime, then I didn't get out with the camera again till aout 10 pm, onto the beach, but no decent shots.
