A buzzy day at work
A honeybee feeding on Masterwort (Astrantia major). There are a few honeybees in the garden at any one time, not as numerous as the bumblebees, perhaps because they have to travel further from the nearest hive. As she moves between the umbels, she transfers pollen from the stamens to the stigmas. You can't really see it in this photo, but her tongue is inserted into the flower to draw up nectar.
A busy day in work. The presentation I mentioned last night seemed to go down well, and the feedback for the whole event was good. I was tired tonight though, despite my early night yesterday. One more day to go to the weekend.
