Tattoo
It is a common practice to tattoo pets for identification. This is done while the pet is under anesthesia for a spay or neuter. Usually a name or number is used. They are largely used just to prove that that is indeed your pet, if there is a question. It also proves they have been altered. The vet at my clinic has quite the sense of humor and will honor any request, if he can draw it. This little kitty was slimy with antibiotic ointment when I took this, sorry.
