She ain't pretty ..

... she's a mottled white, lady blackbird being very useful in our garden!

'Our' young blue tits are, as gladders predicted, often in the garden. I usually hear them before I see them. They are funny to watch flitting around and making un-graceful landings. They are also less fearful or less observant than their parents and can be crept up upon more easily. Having got this shot, I thought I'd try to get one with a better background and as I was creeping up to a seat I thought would be a good vantage point I came across this blackbird with a slug in her beak.
