Anni Mamundi

Waiting for enough blue sky...

... to make a sailor a pair of trousers. Well, that's how they look to me.

Another old family saying*.

Usually heard in a rainy seaside cafe full of holidaymakers steaming like wet goats.

Where you've ended up having a horlicks instead of an ice cream.

Whilst the hood of your kagoul helpfully drips on to your glasses, creating one joyful rivulet of clarity (hugely appreciated, as the hood has already restricted both hearing and the ability to see when turning either to the left or the right. Or even up.)

And playing that solitary game of watching raindrops race each other down the windowpane...

And losing!

*Along with 'It's a clearing-up shower' !

It's a clever Mum who makes you think all of that was a holiday treat!
