Wellies

It was pouring with rain for much of today, so we had an indoors morning playing with toys. We then headed to Ullapool for a wander around the few shops (mostly selling all things tartan) and to allow Kerr to have a nap in the car.

He slept on the way to Ullapool but was wide awake on the way back. The road to Achiltibuie is single track with passing places and very windy. Kerr experienced his first bout of travel sickness. Thankfully it was only a small amount. We had all the windows down after that and crawled along at about 20mph just in case!

The rain had cleared up by the time we were back at the cottage so out we went to play in the puddles and try out the new wellies. Again Kerr was a bit too eager and ended up with soaking wet feet anyway because he was jumping so much that the water went in the top of the wellies. At least he had good fun.
