Village Lights

Long gone are my 9 to 5 days. Or even my 8 to 4 ones. I'm starting in the dark and finishing in the dark most days at the moment. I had planned to get away from work for a break this afternoon, before going back to bury myself in report writing. Unfortunately I got waylaid and didn't get a chance to make a run for it. Thus, yet again, it was dark as I left. Never mind, today was officially the shortest day of the year, so extra daylight is on its way!

I stepped out of the front door of work and was surprised to see it was raining. I wonder how long that had been going on? Still, it gave me the opportunity to capture the brights lights of Murchison on a chilly winter evening.
