Abrolhos Islands Day 7

Homely little touches, such as this hand made table decorated with a rusting bucket full of sea urchins, help brighten up what is, in effect, a fishing camp. These islands are not open to large scale tourism. In fact they can only be visited if you know somebody who has a shack and fishes from here. The Islands are basically a protected reserve but the fishing industry is far to valuable to ignore so people involved in the industry are allowed to build small shacks on some of the islands. From memory there are about 200 islands in total, all coral and non more than about 3 metres about water level.
