Short Reprieve

It's been raining non-stop for about a few days, and thankfully today the sun came out. It's rainy season in Japan at the moment and the build of summer is approaching. The humidity is getting higher and higher. It's the first time I've had to use the air-conditioner in about 4 months or so. The last time it was for winter. The smells of yester year return so violently that you are displaced from the safe time continuum your mind traps you in when you're unaware. Memories flood back and the times you had and the people you love seem almost washed away.
