VIP on show

Ladyfriend A is creative by all means and she's portrayed our queenie Beatrix a little while ago. She's made many more paintings than this one and exibits them on turns in her hairdressers shop. This one I like as she's put accurate emphasis on Bea's details, like the smiling lips and the uplifted shoulders of her jacket and the orange hat - Bea always wears a hat of some kind (which is a direct reference to the crown) and last but least the royal colours red and blue on this canvas.

Not even being a real royalist myself, I do like this picture of Queen Bea of the Lowlands and as today was a wet and dull day with lots of phonecalls but no far away outdoor trips, I have only few images of today and thus do hold on to this one as it's colourful and cheerful.
