Taking my mind off things
This morning was cool and damp. It has rained for two nights. Not just rained but multi inch rains. Two nights ago, we received in a couple hours as much rain as we get all of June. Don't get me wrong, we needed it. The ride to the station was great. Little wind. A bunch of puddles to dodge. Feeling my bicycle beneath me for the first time in a week. I pulled into the Lovers Lane Light Rail Station and put my commuter bike against a railing. And got thinking again about my friend who died last night in a firey crash. He got rearended by a commercial truck and pretty much folded my friend's truck in half causing his truck to explode twice. I also thought of his wife who is also a great friend and his not quite two year old son. My friend's facebook picture is his boy standing behind the wheel of the truck. Also thought about the new baby that was discovered in a sonogram last week. Enough to drive me crazy. So I took out my camera and spent several minutes shooting my bike against the rail from distance and from close range. From the front and the back. Thankfully, the light rail was on time, so I was off to work.
