The Paul
Our menu from The Paul, in Copenhagen's Tivoli gardens. The first of three amazing restaurants we're eating at this week to celebrate our 10 year anniversary.
The restaurant offers two set menus each evening, one three course and a 20 element tasting menu (not 20 courses as such, but 20 distinct dishes). We opted for the tasting menu, which was one of the most interesting and competently cooked meals I've had. The chef popped out of the kitchen several times to talk to us and introduce the food. He kindly changed one dish for me, as although I'll eat most things I really don't like oysters or mackerel and both were in this dish - instead he cooked the most delicious langoustines with peas in a lemon, butter and mint sauce. The menus we were given even included this dish on them :-)
One of the best meals and evenings out I've had for a long time.
