The Neighbors Flowers...
Sadly the weather was quite different today than yesterday. It's been cloudy most the day and quite a bit cooler than our first day of summer extravaganza yesterday.
The boys and I went to the Regal Theaters Summer $1 movie this morning and it felt so good to sit and relax, especially after all the yard work I did yesterday. We had a good time enjoying the movie, popcorn and our grossly oversized and overpriced slushies. My $1 movie ended up costing me more like $23! After the movie we returned home and I spent the remainder of the day continuing to spread barkdust. I am starting to despise my wheel barrel and shovel. I'm hoping tomorrow morning I will finish up. I better not have to do barkdust again next year!
While I was out in the yard I started noticing some of the beautiful colors of flowers in my neighbors yard. All the neighbor kids call her Mrs Linda. It's very proper and I think she gets a kick out of it. She's a sweet lady and keeps a stash of candy on hand for when the kids come to her door (She keeps extra special some "red" suckers just for Carter).
I do laugh at her because while she has some gorgeous flowers in her yard she also has quite a few flowering weeds which she is convinced are flowers. She told me one time she wont let her landscaper anywhere near her flower beds because he pulls her flowers out. I don't have the heart to tell her they are weeds. Anyway, this is one of her many flowers that I snuck over to admire and take pictures of today. Thank goodness because if I didn't take a picture from her yard you may have all been stuck looking at a picture of my pile of barkdust! ;)
(I had to backblip yesterday since I didn't have the energy to post pictures last night)
