Young Spectacled male Owl

another 12 hours shift over, I came back from work to see a man taking this young lovely spectacled owl for a walk about, My luck was in, jumped out the car and asked if i could take some photos, he was very happy for me to do so. The owls name is Murphy, and I'm sure he will be in other blips to come..

Young spectacled owls (known as owlets) are mostly white with a dark face mask.They look so different from the adults they were once thought to be a separate species. Murphy is about 11 weeks old... he has just started to call, which is a Deep, descending series of knocking notes becoming faster and weaker towards the end.
