This is one of my best friends, M, who willingly volunteered her afternoon and early evening while I tinkered around with my camera to practice shooting some portraits for what I've deemed my 'portrait project 2011'.

I wish I had more time to write about how phenomenal this young lady is, but I'm going to keep it brief and just say that I'm extremely proud of her for all of her accomplishments and eternally grateful for how good a friend she's been over the past thirteen years.
