M for Magnificent

There were lots of blips today of the Red Arrows flying over the River Forth at Edinburgh to mark the start of the national Armed Forces weekend in Edinburgh. I thought I'd add to the blip collection - a family on the beach at Cramond watching the hugely impressive low-level flying display. The 'M' was indeed for Magnificent.

It was a tough choice for blips today as we also went to the Wallace Monument in Stirling this morning. Today was the 150th anniversary of laying the foundation stone of this world famous monument. The first 150 people visiting received a commemorative medal and we were fortunate enough to be given one. So on any other day the Wallace Monument would have been the blip but the Red Arrows were so spectacular..........and I understand it was the first time for 23 years they have put on a flying display in Edinburgh.

Enjoy the weekend blippers.
