Barra de Potosi

Today we made a trip to Barra de Potosi, a small beach-front village about 20 miles south of Zihuatanejo. We had heard about this place since we first arrived and had several aborted attempts to get there and see it in person. It is small. Three dirt streets about two blocks long, an array of restaurants called enramadas that ring the lagoon, and some fishing boats pulled up on the beach (a couple of which are shown here). This is the end of 17 mile-long Playa Larga, but there was no time to walk more than a mile or so down this incredible stretch of sand marveling at the pounding waves and spectacular homes facing them across the beach.
