Day 8 - Cherbourg to Poole

Time to leave the gite, heading into Cherbourg to spend our refunded deposit money on 18 bottles of wine and a trolley full of fresh French food goodies. I fell in love with French supermarkets on this trip - the choice and quality is excellent, and importantly there is still room in the market for the little shops like the boulangeries for essentials like bread.

Onto the Condor hydrofoil thing then for three hours of severe rocking and screaming kids. Ferry and a cabin next year.

Lunch consisted of an egg and cress sandwich and a pack of Wheat Crunchies at a Shell service station off the A34. Not quite what was planned, but we did laugh at the shit way we were brought back down to earth after a lovely week...
