A quiet corner

The High Pond was very calm tonight with wonderful reflections, but the sky was a dull grey and looked very flat in most shots, so I chose to blip this corner which gives a different, often not very inspiring, perspective of the pond. I usually see mallards here and some ducklings are in the water with a female.

I'm feeling sad today as I heard some news of a friend whose life has been turned upside down. She had worked so hard to achieve what she had, and it is distressing to think of it falling apart. I know she'll get through it, but it must be hard to be in her shoes at the moment.
