When vehicles collide

I spent 15 years working for the organisation pictured here, trying to prevent incidents like this.

In the absence of the Traffic Police, and the general bearing of the officers I could see, I don't think this was a serious one. Lucky for them: this is a 60mph, 2 way undivided carriageway, where vehicles can have a frontal collison with a combined speed of 120mph or more. All that energy has to go somewhere...
