1000-ends of people, artists, actors, musicians, students, poets, dancers, people, public protested on the Maliefield in The Hague against the new political policy that is on todays' cabinet agenda to vote for the cut in spending tax payers' money on the arts. A cold turkey cut of 200 million euro's is planned and will be executed by the governors what is a cut in the arts income for 40% and many many artistic groups that work as nurseries for the young new artists will be finished off on instant and many orchestras of the nation will be buried as they no longer can perform on the conditions valid up till today. Musicians, dancers, actors, music schools, theatre schools, institutions, schools, clubs, you name it; they must raise their contributions to such high prizes that no one can afford their entrance anymore, so spending tax payers' money = from our own pockets for subsidies on these school and theatres and artists is a must as a free nation nurtures its arts and artists!

This policy is trying to silence the critical voices of artists of trying to silence the itching words of the free spirits. The economic crisis is misused by the present right wing governors of our country to silence the criticasters and the dreamers; they who bring colour and music to our lives are declared as beggars and parasites by our present governors! What a shame such words from our governors!
