I spent most of today using a database and the telephone. Not this one, but I figured I could be allowed a little license.

I'm going to volunteer for a large Christian conference for a week at the end of July/beginning of August; and today I was in the office that hosts the organisation of this. Thousands of delegates. All camping. And one little office smaller than my living room.

I had a ball today. Katie and Anne-Marie are lovely and I enjoyed doing something different - I was there to reacquaint myself with the way the bookings database works, to learn the online payments system and to write a manual so the rest of the team can have a reference document. Oh, and in between times I was answering the phone to people who had queries/were having trouble booking.

It was a bit like having a proper job. I quite liked it...
