Turning Japanese
I was the designated driver tasked to take my friend and his two dearest friends to the Japanese Gardens for the day. Both of us took picnics (severe lack of communication), so we had loads of food (though P did a far more thorough job).
We had a lovely time exploring the Japanese Path of Life, over little bridges, hopping stepping stones, into caverns, up steps and around a Japanese Tea House.
The sun shone, St. Fiachra kept us company for a while, we learned about Tommy the Teaser at the National Stud, saw the monument unveiled by Queen Elizabeth during her recent visit, had a picnic, fed the ducks, hugged a crying child, laughed and sighed after a full and harmonious day. Beautiful kids and we all got on famously. They go on their holidays on Tuesday for 2 months.
They will be missed.
