Saffrons

What a perfectly lovely evening! The Specials had organised a meal out at Akbars but the usual chaos ensued which included Jean and I being trapped for half an hour in a traffic jam in the centre of the city to then discover we were the first to arrive at the restaurant. Half an hour later and Z arrived so we felt a bit more reassured, then the maitre d brought us the phone to hear M summoning us further up the road to Saffrons! We have laughed and taken a thousand and one photos, laughed again and just enjoyed each other's company. After eight weeks of non stop marking and angst, it was a wonderful relief to send these gorgeous girls on their way. Good to know, though, that there will be something of a reunion in three weeks at S's wedding - looks like Jean and I will have another good excuse to revisit Bombay Stores!
