"Curiouser and curiouser!" cried Grace

Grace and I went up to Albemarle Barracks today to see some of our NCT friends for lunch at one of the girls' house and then a long walk around the disused aerodrome there. The idea of the walk after lunch was so that the little ones could nap in their pushchairs/carriers. Not for Grace though, this sleeping lark and nonsense: there was far too much to see around about. We had a lovely day - great company with the girls and their lovely babies and lots of fresh air on this beautiful, sunny day.

Tomorrow is my last day of maternity leave. I'm a little sad that days like today won't be possible on such a frequent basis anymore, but am very thankful for these past eight months of freedom. It's been a wonderfully happy time.
