"Love Bomb" at Jupiter Artland
After spotting an entry from our esteemed leader Mr Blogs recently, we set off for Jupiter Artland today.
Love Bomb by Marc Quinn, a 12 metre tall Orchid, dominates the whole park area. It is digitally painted onto canvas and fixed to stainless steel. I've spent too long trying to choose which of my 242 shots to post. Had a wee search surf and my top favourites Weeping Girls already have several entries, so decided to go for something different.
A real treat to go here, a Blip haven. The young lady on reception couldn't have been more helpful. I told her that Blipfoto had led me to visit, and suggested the organisation might start a "Jupiter Journal" ... let's hope so. It would be fascinating to see the Artland on a regular basis. As the seasons change, so will the artworks and their environment.
A couple of hints ... no picnics, and only one place to sit down, unless you climb to the top of one of the Life Mounds by Charles Jencks.
