Running on Empty

About 6 days ago, my car decided to tell me it needed filling up. But it would have to wait. Typically I just done a shop on Saturday & then Tesco decide to put their '5p off petrol when you spend £50' offer on again, starting on Monday. There was no way I was filling up with petrol without a voucher, plus there have been rumours about the price of petrol coming down. Four days ago, my last 'segment' hollowed out indicating I was about to start running on fumes & the car made an annoying reminder sound every time I turn the ignition on.

Today I decided I really ought to do another shop & fill up. Petrol has gone down to 129.9p from 133.9p and I saved another £2.55 with the voucher. Just to show me how empty my car really was, it drank 51.53 litres when the car only has a 50 litre tank.
