Say That Again?

Tagged along with Mr Flum and another church member to Dunbar Methodist Church to check on the stained glass windows, some of which may be in need of repair.

The decorated windows in the oldest part of the building were originally made for the High Kirk of St Giles in Edinburgh (this does seem plausible as the wording of the Lord's Prayer in the upper section reads 'debts' instead of 'trespasses'). Although the reason for the transfer is not known it is generally thought that St Giles refused to accept them from the glazier as there is a spelling error in the banner above Christ's head in the left-hand window, reading 'The Ressurection of the Lord'.

The question remains, why would the window be acceptable to Methodists if not acceptable to St Giles? Or did the Methodists just have an eye for a bargain?
