The Wisdom Tree

Luca is one of the youngest members of the family at a mere six and a bit months, and today his parents had a naming party for him in their garden, which is a long thin one with a river at the bottom. They designated a tree The Wisdom Tree and asked people to write things on small cards to guide him through life, which I thought was nice; so I wrote "you are not really born until you have learnt to live from the heart" which I think is true although I don't know where it came from.

It's been a very loving weekend and very rich in images. Tonight I am photographing a school prom as a favour to a friend, which I imagine will be a different kind of love fest.
