Wind Blown Tomatoes

A big storm rolled into town this evening about 9 p.m. I was on the phone with my 94 year old aunt when I looked out the window and saw that it had gotten very windy and that there were black clouds moving in. I ended my phone call and rushed out to the front porch to pick up a few potted plants that had blown over, but it wasn't until a couple of hours later when I went to take Poppy for an after storm walk that I discovered two of my potted tomatoes on the back patio had blown over, losing a lot of unripe fruit. I don't know how well they'll ripen off the vine, so I may have to do some research on green tomato recipes.
