Winter Afternoon

We had sunshine all day, but the wind was so cold that I had to stay indoors. This was taken from my back doorstep at 4.40 pm. The haze is due to cold air.

Yesterday's frost killed off the Tagetes in the greenhouse. I've never had them flowering so deep into the winter before, but I'm going to miss their bright cheerful colour.

Thank you for all the get well wishes. How lovely you all are. I'm not yet over the worst of it. I've spent the day sneezing, with eyes and nose streaming, and I haven't been much use for anything.
