Skip, skip

Katie is learning to jump and skip. When she tries to jump, she now takes one foot off and has only the tip of her other toe on the floor. And is very proud of it. She also is trying to skip sometimes, as she was doing this morning. In her new trousers that I rather love.

We've had henry to play with us today. We all went to Munchkins this morning, and Henry just ran and played with the other boys. He was no trouble whatsoever! Katie wanted to be beside me most of the morning but had lots of fun. We saw Aiden and Harrison, and I got to see Aiden showing off his new found walking skills. It was quite amusing, because Aiden will only walk if it's for food!

We had an indoor picnic for lunch. Of course Katie ate henry's lunch not hers and Henry ate hers not his! I put them both in the car and they fell asleep before very far.

We went to Monkey Buziness this afternoon and they both had a blast. Katie spent ages playing chase, very very fast. Henry did some really impressive climbing. They both were fascinated by the ball popping chute that collected in a huge dump truck scoop then poured them over them. Katie thought it was hilarious. She also dared to go on a bigger slide than she has for a while. Not a big slide, but not tiny either, so it was progress! They had their tea there and because Henry wouldnt eat without being fed, Katie insisted I fed her too. When they were playing again after their tea, Katie announced "play with Henry".

It was quite a mission to keep Katie awake on the journey home, one that took lots of silly songs, games and general daftness. But a successful mission. They had a really nice play at our house before Henry's mum and brother arrived for him. A busy but fun day.
