Wellies and Wings

Katie showing the world her wonderful style again. Wings. Wellies. Summer dress. Thick tights. She makes me bubble with love, this fabulously unique little creature.

She made me so proud again this morning. We walked to nursery and she was jumping in puddles, twirling, dancing, chasing, flower picking. Really happy. There was no fussing at nursery, she chose a monkey peg to put her things on, went in to her room and picked her breakfast and went to sit at the table, giving me a snuggle as I sat her down. Never before has she let me take her to put her things away before she's gone in, she has always clung to them and insisted they come in with her, often staying with her. She seems to like the "responsibility" she is given - immediately getting on with decisions, a bit of independence, sorting herself out. It's early days, and they warned me there may be a dip after a few days, but she's amazed me. Perhaps the fact she feels she made the decision to go this nursery has helped too. Whatever it is, I am really impressed and very proud of her.
