Old boats

Ever since we've lived in Antwerp I have been intrigued by the boat on the quays north of Het Steen. Today I walked passed it and the gates were open! The boat collection is part of the Maritime Museum which is now housed in the MAS. You can now visit the very old boats every day, but Monday, from 10 am to 4.30 pm at no charge. Unfortunately I only had my small pocket camera. But I am sure I'll be back at some point.

Too bad I cannot do a smells photo, as the smell of tar, iron and wood really made the picture complete.
