Summer Camp Day 4....
....up Stockhorn, in the Bern mountains.
At 7000 feet and 25C, this would have been murder, so we took the cable car most of the way instead! We did climb the last few hundred metres and the thin air was noticeble. A minor op on Eilidh's foot at the top because she'd stood on a wood splinter, but after a bit of tweezer digging and pencil biting, we were fit to continue. Back down the mountain to the corry for a dip in the lake for some of the harider Scouts with Rose and Oscar leading the way, followed by Robert, Hugo and Nancy.
Some observations from our Scouts:
I really enjoyed the cable car, it was really scary when it went past the towers and the car rocked to and fro. I liked the play park at the first cable car station too.
