The Final Push.....

Slightly tougher day of hiking. Short cable car ride up to Allmenalp (the steepest cable in Europe) then the long hiking drag up to 6000 feet and an overnight stay in the ueschinenhutte (Upper hut)....think Heidi and you?ve got the high Swiss pass, cows with bells, compost toilet, wooden hut vibe.

A bit of homesickness tonight with tears from a couple of kids, but the older girls were great and dished out hugs and words of re-assurance.

A mixture of comments today:

I hate this place, my bedroom smells of cow poo and my feet are sore. I refuse to sleep beside a cow (however she was laughing)
