Tarmac Sea

The peace and quiet of the morning was disturbed by the sound of engines, mechanical devices and those awful bleeps emitted when a vehicle goes into reverse.

Add to that the clouds of dust that were thrown into the air and it was not the best of mornings.

It is apparently resurfacing season and James Street just across the way from my house is the first to benefit from a tarmac makeover.

This afternoon I had occasion to visit the office of my insurance agent and on the way back took this shot after the initial preparations for resurfacing had been completed.

It kind of looks like a sea of tarmac. Oops! Forgot to take my medication today. :-)
