In the heat of the day

The middle of France, southeast of Dijon. You planned a walk. But you're Dutch and it's 28C in the shade. You think you're a die-hard, you give it a try, no kidding, the only thing you can give is: giving up!

You see a tower. The tower of the church in St. Germain-du-Bois. There you can take shelter for the heat. Go inside, take a seat, let hurries&worries go, cool down - and take that literally.

It's a cool, dark, silent, peaceful place. When your eyes are recovering from the abundant rays of sunshine the church's twilight unveils the beauty of it's interior ...

I admit, I looked around if there was no verger to be seen. I carefully rearranged the pages of that wonderful illustrated bible so that you can see at least one illustration (woodcut) ...

But the truth is that my blip was taken on the best moment in the heat of this day ... ;)
