Circuit of the Lakes

As sudden as the heat came up, it disappeared. There was an agreeable temperature of 23C (in the sun my friends :) and we walked one of the 'Randonnees en Bresse Bouguignonne'.
It's an official guided walk (by signs) over a distance of 17,5 km (10.9 miles) and is called 'Circuit des Etangs' (Circuit of the Lakes). Wonderful views of the countryside but not for capturing with a camera of an iPhone.

There are lots of farmhouses of course, some with beautiful courtyards. But mostly also a big dog as a guard and believe me, when they come running to you, you're not staying to take a picture first before walking away!

Here you see part of a courtyard - no dog to be present - of one of the farmhouses near the road. Behind the plants you can see a vintage pump installation ... ;)
