Call Technical support!!!
Busy working all day, panicking on a website launch date...not sure I'll hit the deadline. Bloody developers! Suppose he is new - to me anyway.
However, in a brief moment of relaxation with a well earned cup of coffee, I trolled "tinternet" for some amusement and found the most glorious transcript of a phone call to Microsoft Technical Support. Didn't write it all down, so it's not word for word, but trust me, it's close enough and had me in stitches.
So, this was a recording from the answer machine as it was after hours (I thought they were 24 hours? - guess it depends what department), so following on from "leave your message after the tone.....beeeeeeep"
"Hello? - Anyone there?"
"No?"
"OK, well I hope yu're getting this. My name is ***** ***********."
"I just bought one of these big screen computers thungs."
(It was a broad accent! - but not really up on American regional accents)
"It's Real Guud. I managed to switch it on and started up everythung. Alls goin' well but fer one thung. I got my little pointy thing and it's on my screen...jus' bout in the middle. Trouble here is, my mousey thung in already on the right edge o' the mousepad thung, so I run out o' room!"
"Could yus all give me a call back cos it's clear broke, and I needs to git my pointy thing down to the trash can"
"I'll wait yer call."
Wonder if he got a call back!?
