Andray House Derby
I had what I thought was going to be a nice Bakewell blip today as it was the official opening of the Scots garden all weather path.
It was all thought out the cutting of the ribbon, smiling faces, councillors and town dignitaries all present and correct etc. etc.
As I was walking down to the gardens I came across John the Bakewell Town Clerk walking towards me.
'Hey John you're walking in the wrong direction!'
'I'm off back to the town hall for the tea and sandwiches' he replied.
Eh?
'It's finished we're all coming back'
'But I thought it was at 11.30'
'No it was at 11.00, not to worry come and join us for some sandwiches'
DOH!!!
So this isn't the planned blip. Instead what you have here is a hotel in Derby which had what were possibly the cheapest room rates in the UK £10.50 a night with evening meal thrown in for an extra £3.00.
Sadly the offer no longer stands as the hotel (very creepy) is closed and with rates like that it's hardly surprising.
