Carnival Queens

Bakewell carnival day and although the rain came down just before the off, it did nothing to dampen the spirits of a great turnout of spectators and entrants alike.
This year myself and Janet had the honour of judging the beauty queens and being part of the procession driven along in a vintage car, a lovely experience.
Here are the carnival queens from Hasland one of which joined us in our car during the procession as theirs broke down!!!
