Applecross Bay

2nd day of our trip and we travelled north to Spean Bridge and stopped for a short 9 holes of golf, with spectacular scenery around us before travelling on to Applecross in Wester Ross. I hadn't appreciated the last 30mins would be quite as steep and narrow. The road was single track, and the most scarey hairpins were right at the top where you daren't meet a car travelling the other direction. I have to say I was glad to get there in one piece!

We stayed at Applecross Inn which is in a perfect location looking out to sea and across to Raasay and Skye. Although it looks cold is was actually very mild - warm enough at night to sit outside with a drink and watch the light change across the bay. What a relaxing place to be.
