Calm after the storm
Today we had a real storm in Edinburgh. It caught me as I was leaving the gym. There was thunder, the skies opened and a massive curtain of water fell down! I was soaking wet even carrying an umbrella! There was a girl in front of me in the street whose shoes got so soaked that she decided to take them off and continue walking on her bare feet! It was quite something!
But then it all calmed down when I got back home and there was even a bit of sun, so I decided to go to the harbour to take pictures. These ducks were having a bath now that the storm was over!
Today, after the fright I got yesterday, I decided to take the bus to go to the gym instead. Thank God for that! I would have been even more soaked had I taken the bike. I was very lucky yesterday, I have to say. On my defence, I will say that I did check if there were any cars coming before tackling the roundabout, and couldn't see any. That car must have gone a bit too fast. Thank God I've got very good reflexes and strong muscles! If I hadn't stopped on time, it could have been much worse! But I don't want to think about that just now. From now on I'll try to avoid busy roads and roundabouts as much as I possibly can!
The gym session was good and I'm feeling much better now. Back to work at the weekend and then holidays!!!!
Thanks very much for all your kind comments and concerns. I have to say, this community is full of really nice people! I hope you all had a great day today! :)
