BACKBLIP ALERT.

This is another backblip, this one actually backblips 73 years to a school photo line up in Stockport.

The 12 year old boys in the line, are just that,

boys,

standing on the edge of a precipice in time, to be born in between two world wars, what thoughts must have been going through their pre pubescent minds..

Sure, all the normal things that 12yr old boys think of, but i wonder, how much did they know and what would they have done if they had known how their lives were going to turn out...

I wonder if they had good lives, if they had dreams unrealised, happiness unfulfilled, did they ever think that they'd get old, die?

Surely not, they were young, they were alive,,it was enough!!

The boy in the picture is my dad,

today, as i write this, i've just left him tucked up in his nice warm bungalow with a hot meal and a good large glass of whisky to keep his insides glowing, his body is failing and his memory isn't all it was, but he still has that spark about him, that spark of life and air of mischevious 12yr old,

and i fail him often, and i love him and he never complains about me though he has plenty of opportunity to,

and hes the one person i think i might aspire to be, the better man...
